Subscription, billing, cancellation, and refund policy
This policy explains how Reunion Portal plans are billed and what happens when a subscriber changes a plan, cancels renewal, requests a refund, or deletes an account.
Plans and prices
Reunion Portal may offer a free plan and paid monthly or annual plans. The checkout or plan-confirmation screen shows the selected plan, billing interval, price, and whether a trial or promotion applies before payment is submitted. Taxes, if required, may be added. Current public prices and allowances appear on the Pricing page.
Payment and automatic renewal
Stripe processes paid subscriptions. By starting a paid subscription, the subscriber authorizes Stripe and Gem State Products LLC to charge the selected payment method at the stated interval until renewal is canceled. Annual subscriptions are charged once per year; monthly subscriptions are charged once per month. The actual renewal date and status appear in the hub’s subscription area.
Family owner and sponsor responsibility
The account shown as the subscription owner or sponsor manages the payment method, plan, renewal, and cancellation. Transferring family ownership can also change who is expected to manage billing. Family members should resolve ownership and sponsorship before an owner leaves or deletes an account.
Changing a plan
The hub shows the effective timing before a subscriber confirms a plan change. An upgrade may take effect immediately and Stripe may calculate a prorated charge or credit. A downgrade is normally scheduled for the end of the current paid period so the existing plan remains available until then. A billing-interval change may also be scheduled for renewal.
Canceling renewal
A subscriber can cancel from the hub’s billing controls. Cancellation normally stops automatic renewal at the end of the current paid period. Access to paid features continues through that period unless the service states otherwise for a specific case. Canceling a subscription does not by itself delete the account or family content.
Account deletion
Submitting an account-deletion request also asks Reunion Portal to stop future paid renewal. If a Stripe subscription is active, the hub attempts to schedule cancellation at the end of the current period and records whether billing needs manual review. Canceling the deletion request does not automatically restart a subscription that was already set to end; the subscriber must review billing and choose to keep the subscription.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, the subscription may become past due and paid features may be limited after any provider retry or grace process. The subscriber should update the payment method in the hub. We do not ask for a complete card number by email.
Refunds
Canceling renewal does not automatically refund the current billing period, and unused time is not routinely refunded or converted to cash. Contact [email protected] promptly if you believe a charge was duplicated, unauthorized, caused by a service error, or otherwise merits review. We will evaluate the transaction, account history, service use, and applicable law. This policy does not limit refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be waived.
Price or policy changes
We may change plans, allowances, prices, or this policy. A price change affecting an existing recurring subscription will receive advance notice when required and will apply no earlier than a future renewal. Continued use after the effective date is subject to the updated terms.
